Juncos Hollinger Racing Faces Hauler Fire Amidst IndyCar Season Rush

Juncos Hollinger Racing encountered a significant setback following a challenging race weekend at Iowa Speedway. On their return to Indianapolis, the team’s transport vehicle, carrying both race cars and Sting Ray Robb’s equipment, caught fire on Interstate 74.

The incident, which thankfully resulted in no injuries, originated from the truck’s rear axle, with the cause still under investigation by the team. The hauler, which halted approximately four hours from Indianapolis, will undergo a thorough inspection to evaluate the extent of the damage. Early assessments suggest that the vehicle may be unusable.

This event compounds the challenges faced by Juncos Hollinger Racing as they prepare for a critical series of races, including the upcoming Toronto round this weekend, followed by events at Laguna Seca and Portland. To ensure their participation, the team has arranged for a replacement hauler from Andretti Global.

In a statement, the team expressed gratitude for the outpouring of support from fans, fellow teams, and officials: "A tough end to our Iowa weekend, both on and off the track. Thankfully, everyone is safe, and that’s what matters most. We are assessing the damage and are determined to get back on track."

As the IndyCar Series continues its relentless schedule, the team is focused on making the necessary preparations for the upcoming races, reaffirming their commitment to competitiveness under challenging circumstances.
