Report: Children’s of Alabama Grand Prix Warm-Up Results

In a decisive warm-up session ahead of the Children’s of Alabama Grand Prix at Barber Motorsports Park, Alex Palou reaffirmed his pole position status, clocking a best lap of 1:07.9015 aboard his No. 10 Chip Ganassi Racing Honda.

Pato O’Ward, starting from eighth position in his No. 5 Arrow McLaren Chevy, finished second in the warm-up, indicating potential for a strong race strategy. Colton Herta matched his qualifying position, securing third in his No. 26 Andretti Global Honda. Scott Dixon demonstrated resilience by improving to fourth place in his No. 9 Chip Ganassi Racing Honda, despite starting 26th in the main event. Defending champion Scott McLaughlin, positioned alongside Palou on the front row, completed the top five in his No. 3 Team Penske Chevy.

The session, held under clear skies with mid-60s temperatures, followed a weekend of variable weather conditions. These favorable conditions are anticipated to persist throughout the race.
