Team USA Dominates the FIM Oceania Women’s Motocross Cup
Wonthaggi, Australia – Competing on March 21-22, Team USA clinched a decisive victory at the FIM Oceania Women’s Motocross Cup, held concurrently with Round One of the AusProMX Championship in Wonthaggi, Victoria. This year, the American squad faced significant logistical challenges, including travel delays and equipment issues, yet overcame these adversities to deliver an impressive performance.
The 2026 edition of the event was a marked contrast to the previous year, where Team USA narrowly missed victory after a series of missteps. This time, they showcased superior skills and teamwork, consistently extending their lead in each heat. The podium was a clean sweep for the American team, with all three riders finishing in top position, demonstrating remarkable resilience and determination.
The competition featured teams from Australia and New Zealand, but none could match the pace set by the US riders. Key strategies, such as optimizing race starts under the new gate rules, were integral to their success.
“Every race counts, and we made sure to capitalize on every opportunity,” stated a team representative. The win not only underscores Team USA’s prowess in women’s motocross but also sets a formidable tone for upcoming international competitions.
As the season progresses, Team USA will aim to maintain their momentum as they prepare for further challenges in the AusProMX Championship circuit.
