AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame Class of 2025 Induction Ceremony
Las Vegas, NV — The AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame officially welcomed its Class of 2025 inductees during a ceremony held Thursday, honoring distinguished figures whose contributions have significantly impacted motorcycling in America.
Dana Bell
Dana Bell’s journey in motorcycling began in 1975, establishing her as a dedicated advocate and competitor. A nationally ranked enduro racer, Bell has played pivotal roles with the AMA and the National Off-Highway Vehicle Conservation Council (NOHVCC). Reflecting on her career, she stated, “For me, in my last 70 years, there has been nothing more exciting than throwing your leg over a dirt bike…It’s been a great ride.”
Chris Carter
Known for his innovations, Chris Carter earned a gold medal at the 1976 FIM International Six Day Trials in Austria. Later, he founded Motion Pro, Inc., a leading brand in the motorcycle industry with over 30 patents and extensive sponsorship commitments. “To be recognized among legends…is an honor beyond words,” Carter expressed, acknowledging the support of his colleagues and mentors.
Colin Edwards
Colin “Texas Tornado” Edwards captivated audiences on an international scale, turning professional in 1992. He secured the AMA 250cc Grand Prix Championship as an 18-year-old and went on to win World Superbike titles in 2000 and 2002. His achievements include three wins at the Suzuka 8-Hour Endurance Race and 12 podiums in MotoGP. In gratitude, Edwards said, “Thanks to Yamaha; they were amazing…it’s an honor to be here among you.”
Joe Kopp
Joe Kopp, celebrated for his success in dirt track racing, achieved the 2000 AMA Grand National Championship and accumulated 21 wins at the AMA Grand National level. He is one of only 20 racers to complete the Dirt Track Grand Slam, excelling across all disciplines. Kopp recognized the support he received throughout his career, stating, “I didn’t have the goal as a kid to be a championship racer. I just liked to ride with my cousins.”
Chad Reed
Australian native Chad Reed’s career spans nearly two decades in AMA Supercross and Pro Motocross. Debuting at 16, he quickly rose to prominence, winning the 125cc East SX title in 2002 and securing the AMA Supercross 250cc championship twice. Reed remains a formidable figure in American motocross.
