Muc-Off/FXR/ClubMX Team Faces Off-Season Setback, Remains Resilient
The Muc-Off/FXR/ClubMX team is navigating a challenging off-season after losing both title sponsors, Muc-Off and FXR, which had significantly contributed to their success over the past four years. Team owner Brandon Haas addressed the situation in a candid interview on the ClubMX YouTube channel.
Haas revealed that Muc-Off’s withdrawal was driven by political factors, specifically tariffs affecting product distribution in the U.S. “I was actually on a mountain bike trip when they called me to say they had to pull out,” said Haas. “It’s been heartbreaking, but they want to reenter the sport later on.”
Contrastingly, Haas described the end of their relationship with FXR as more personal, expressing disappointment in their shift to a factory team: “I feel like they brought us to the prom and then danced with other chicks. We suffered the consequences.”
Despite these setbacks, the team is adapting. For the 2026 season, they will don Fly gear and remain optimistic. Haas noted, “We are going to grow, we’re still getting better, and we’ll do it again if we have to. Fortunately, we’ve had some great sponsors step in.”
The team has previously run on its own, demonstrating resilience and resourcefulness in the face of adversity. “We’ve proved every year we are going to find a way to be better, and we’ve always done that,” Haas affirmed.
As the Muc-Off/FXR/ClubMX team moves forward, they remain committed to enhancing competitiveness in the upcoming season.
