Cooper Webb Prepared for Championship Battle as Supercross Season Approaches
As the Supercross season looms, three-time champion Cooper Webb emphasizes his unwavering focus on consistency and resilience over raw speed in the quest for another title. “Every championship season is different,” Webb stated, underscoring his strategy to remain competitive throughout all 17 races. “You want to chase wins and podiums, but for me, it’s about the long haul—staying healthy and consistent.”
Webb’s mental fortitude is a hallmark of his success. He noted, “I believe that until the checkered flag is waved, it’s never over.” This mentality has propelled him to be a contender in nearly every season for the past six years, capitalizing on experience gained from both victories and setbacks.
Training with younger 250 riders at Star Racing, Webb acknowledges the challenges of adapting to new techniques. “I’m kind of stuck in my ways,” he admitted. However, he remains committed to improvement, particularly in handling the whoops section, asserting, “There’s always ways to be better.”
Although the new bike setup may take time to refine, Webb’s track record suggests he will remain a formidable threat in the 2026 Supercross Championship. As he looks to claim his first win at Anaheim, the seasoned rider is ready to face the challenges ahead.
