Eli Tomac Joins Red Bull KTM Factory Racing for the 2026 Season
In a significant move for the upcoming 2026 motcross season, Eli Tomac has officially joined the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing team, emphasizing a blend of competitive spirit and fresh opportunity. “I’ve been a fierce competitor of this race team that I’ve now joined,” Tomac noted. “But this whole group is very committed to racing, and I’m looking forward to what’s to come.”
Tomac’s first visit to KTM’s state-of-the-art headquarters in California left a strong impression. “Driving up, I was completely blown away by the race shop,” he said. He highlighted the facilities and nearby test tracks, noting, “It’s awesome. I like just looking at this bike; it’s a beautiful race bike, so let’s get this thing going.”
Addressing the transition from Star Racing to KTM, Tomac acknowledged the challenge but expressed optimism: “Anytime you make a switch, it can be tough, but it’s been a couple of days, and it’s feeling good. We’re excited to see what we can do.”
A key aspect of this transition involves adapting to KTM’s steel frame, a departure from Tomac’s years on aluminum frames. “It feels different; there’s an extra G on the bike. It’s more planted to the ground,” he explained. He praised the bike’s geometry, stating, “The triangle of the bike feels good, and the connection is fitting to me. It’s been a nice transition to getting comfy.”
As Tomac prepares for the coming season, his extensive experience and the KTM team’s unwavering commitment to excellence signal a promising new chapter in his storied career.
