Honda HRC Progressive Prepares for 2026 Season with Strong Rider Lineup
As the 2026 motorsports season approaches, Honda HRC Progressive is gearing up with a formidable roster across both the 450 and 250 classes. Leading the charge in the premier 450 category are Jett and Hunter Lawrence, who continue to solidify their status as top contenders. Jett, in particular, has emerged as a rising star, while Hunter has consistently showcased his capabilities through four second-place overall finishes since ascending to the 450 division in 2024. Together, the Lawrence brothers have propelled Team Australia to consecutive Motocross of Nations victories, positioning them as favorites for the upcoming AMA championships.
In the 250 class, Chance Hymas and Jo Shimoda will ride the factory CRF250RWE. Hymas, returning to competition after a successful recovery from ACL surgery, demonstrated his speed with wins in both indoor and outdoor events last year and will compete in the AMA Supercross 250 West Region. Shimoda, fresh off his most successful season yet with victories in all three AMA series and the SuperMotocross 250 championship, is currently sidelined with a back injury sustained during the off-season. His return date remains uncertain.
The team’s management structure reflects stability, with Brandon Wilson overseeing operations as the manager of American Honda’s Racing Department. Lars Lindstrom returns for his fifth year as Team Manager, supported by seasoned crew chiefs Grant Hutcheson and Shane Drew for the 450 and 250 classes, respectively. The mechanic lineup remains unchanged: Christien Ducharme and Cameron Camera for the Lawrence brothers in the 450 class, alongside Thomas Harris and Ben Griffith working with Hymas and Shimoda in the 250 division.
With a blend of established talent and a strong support team, Honda HRC Progressive is poised for a competitive 2026 season.
