Mosiman Faces Setback with Significant Injuries Ahead of Birmingham Supercross
In a significant blow to his 2026 season, Michael Mosiman has sustained serious injuries while training for the upcoming Birmingham Supercross. The 250SX West contender dislocated his elbow, fractured his radius, and suffered multiple broken fingers and bones in his hand during a practice session. He underwent surgery on the radius and will be sidelined for the remainder of the supercross season.
Prior to the injury, Mosiman enjoyed a strong start to the year, achieving two podium finishes in the first six rounds of the 250SX West series and holding third place in the championship standings. He expressed his disappointment in an Instagram update, emphasizing the effort put in by his team and the unexpected nature of the setback.
“My recovery time is not terribly long,” Mosiman stated, expressing hope to return for the AMA Pro Motocross season. “If all things go to plan, hopefully I’ll be ready for outdoors.”
Mosiman’s determination to recover is notable, as he reflects on past injuries and their positive outcomes. “I’m trusting [the journey] to bring good from such unfortunate news,” he added, thanking supporters for their well wishes as he embarks on his recovery journey.
