Cooper Webb Makes History with Third AMA Supercross Title
Salt Lake City, UT – In a historic achievement, Cooper Webb secured his third AMA Supercross title at the 2025 season finale, becoming only the seventh rider to accomplish this feat. Joining the elite ranks of Bob Hannah, Jeff Stanton, Jeremy McGrath, Ricky Carmichael, Ryan Villopoto, and Ryan Dungey, Webb’s victory underscores a significant milestone in his career.
Notably, Webb’s journey has a distinct narrative; his four-year gap between titles is unprecedented among the aforementioned champions. While his predecessors typically clinched their third title within a year of their second, Webb previously won his second championship in 2021.
At 29 years and six months, Webb also claims the title of the oldest premier class SX champion, surpassing Eli Tomac, who won at 29 years and five months. This record adds another layer to Webb’s remarkable career.
With 30 total 450SX wins, Webb concludes the 2025 season ranked eighth in the all-time premier class wins list.
In his post-race interview, Webb reflected on his achievement, stating, “This may never happen again, so I’m going to enjoy the [expletive] out of this one. Never give up on yourself, kids.”
As Webb celebrates this monumental victory, the motorsports community keenly anticipates how his legacy will evolve in the coming seasons.
