Beaumer Set for 2026 Return to Outdoor Racing After Injury-Hindered Season
Julien Beaumer, having faced a challenging 2025 season punctuated by multiple crashes, has confirmed his plans to return for the 2026 outdoor racing season. After concluding the previous year prematurely due to a significant injury, Beaumer has earned the national #13 for the upcoming campaign.
“We’ve completely ruled out supercross as a whole,” said Beaumer. “We made that decision early in my recovery to make sure my back is 110 percent before I return. The goal is to focus on outdoor events.”
Currently, there are no indications of a replacement being announced for Beaumer in the supercross series, suggesting he will remain the sole 250SMX rider with a full contract for the second consecutive year. Reflecting on his solo status, Beaumer noted, “Being that lone guy and having all that on me is why I thrived in supercross. I believe it’s beneficial for me to carry that responsibility.”
In 2025, Beaumer marked a significant milestone by securing his first career podium in the 250SX at the season opener in Anaheim and followed it up with a maiden main event victory in San Diego. Despite an early points lead, a shoulder injury during qualifying at Arlington hindered his momentum. Nonetheless, Beaumer’s performance throughout the season showcased considerable progress from his 2024 results.
