Sacha Coenen Shines at the 2026 Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations
In a riveting display at the 2026 Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations, Sacha Coenen demonstrated both extraordinary skill and resilience, contributing significantly to Team Belgium’s victory—their first since 2013.
Coenen’s race was marked by a dramatic save during a crucial moment, which can be viewed in an on-board video featuring Jeremy Seewer. This pivotal moment underscored Coenen’s ability to maintain composure under pressure, as he narrowly avoided disaster while navigating challenging track conditions.
Joining Coenen were his brother Lucas and Liam Everts, a third-generation racer. The trio’s combined efforts brought Belgium to the top of the podium, rekindling national pride in the sport after a 13-year hiatus from MXoN victory.
Despite the high-stakes racing atmosphere, fellow competitor Jeremy Seewer also showcased impressive control, avoiding a collision with a water truck while maneuvering through the course.
This event marks a significant milestone for Belgian motocross, highlighting both the talent within the team and the thrilling unpredictability of the sport.
