Trackhouse Racing has announced that veteran crew chief Randall Burnett will join the organization in 2026 to lead Connor Zilisch’s campaign as a NASCAR Cup Series rookie. This strategic appointment positions Burnett, who has extensive experience in the series, to guide Zilisch through his inaugural season.

Burnett transitions to Trackhouse Racing after a successful tenure at Richard Childress Racing, where he spent the last three years primarily with Kyle Busch, following a notable collaboration with Tyler Reddick. Throughout his career as a crew chief, Burnett has secured six Cup Series victories, collaborating with drivers Reddick and Busch to achieve these results. His prior experience also includes a season with AJ Allmendinger at JTG Daugherty Racing in 2016.

Zilisch will join an expanding driver lineup that includes Ross Chastain and Shane van Gisbergen, who will pilot the No. 1 and No. 88 teams, respectively. The partnership between Zilisch and Burnett is set to be supported by major sponsors, including WeatherTech and Red Bull, although details such as the car number for Zilisch have yet to be revealed.

This announcement underscores Trackhouse Racing’s commitment to developing young talent while leveraging experienced personnel to foster competitive performance in the NASCAR Cup Series.
