2026 NASCAR Hall of Fame Induction Class Announced

The 2026 NASCAR Hall of Fame Class has been confirmed, featuring three standout individuals: Kurt Busch and Harry Gant from the Modern Era Ballot, and Ray Hendrick from the Pioneer Ballot. The announcement was made following a voting session where both Busch and Gant clinched 61% of the votes on the Modern ballot, while Hendrick secured 31% from the Pioneer ballot, surpassing Bob Welborn.

Kurt Busch

Kurt Busch, a first-ballot nominee, solidifies his Hall of Fame status after an illustrious career marked by 34 Cup victories across five teams and four manufacturers. Notably, he is the only Cup Series champion among this year’s nominees. Busch’s highlights include a win at the 2017 Daytona 500 and victories at the Coke 600 and All-Star Race in 2010. His career was unfortunately cut short by a crash at Pocono in 2022, but his legacy endures as a multi-series winner in NASCAR.

Harry Gant

Harry Gant, known as ‘Mr. September’ for his dominance during the fall months, brings 18 Cup wins to the Hall of Fame. Gant achieved fame as the oldest winner in NASCAR history at 52 years and eight months in 1992, driving the iconic No. 33 Skoal Bandit car. His credentials include two Southern 500 victories, and he remains one of the few drivers to have won four consecutive Cup races.

Ray Hendrick

Ray Hendrick, hailed as "Mr. Modified," excelled in the Modified and Late Model ranks, securing over 700 wins and becoming a dominant force at Martinsville Speedway with 20 victories. His remarkable contributions to NASCAR earned him spots on both the 50 and 75 Best Drivers lists, underscoring his significant impact on the sport.

The formal induction ceremony is scheduled for January 23, 2026, at the NASCAR Hall of Fame in Charlotte, North Carolina.
