Logano Secures Pole Position for Quaker State 400 at EchoPark Speedway

Joey Logano claimed the top spot in qualifying for the Quaker State 400 at EchoPark Speedway, clocking in at 178.960 mph over a lap time of 30.979 seconds. Ford teammate Josh Berry will share the front row with Logano, with both drivers recording identical speeds. Logano secured the pole position based on owner points, reflecting Team Penske’s strong performance.

"This is always a test of how close you can build the cars, but [also] how much speed you can put in them," Logano commented after his 32nd career pole win. He also noted the team’s commitment to speed in anticipation of race conditions, emphasizing the solid performance of Roush Yates Engines.

The top eight qualifiers all represented the Ford camp, showcasing a dominant showing in the session. Ryan Blaney qualified third with a speed of 178.937 mph, followed by Austin Cindric in fourth (178.626 mph) and Ryan Preece in fifth (178.092 mph). Brad Keselowski, Cole Custer, and Zane Smith completed the top eight.

Notable qualifiers included Alex Bowman and Chase Briscoe rounding out the top 10, while Cup Series point leader William Byron qualified 18th. Tyler Reddick and Bubba Wallace, both from 23XI Racing, will start 23rd and 24th, respectively. Corey LaJoie marked his return to the Cup Series with a 25th-place start, while Christopher Bell, Kyle Busch, and Denny Hamlin qualified in lower positions at 28th, 29th, and 33rd, respectively.

A full field of 40 teams is set to compete in the race, with qualifying being the only activity on Friday afternoon. The Quaker State 400 will take place Saturday at 7 p.m. ET.
