Niece Motorsports Announces New Ownership and Leadership Changes

Richmond, VA – Niece Motorsports has appointed new majority owners for its Craftsman Truck Series operations, as announced on Friday at Richmond Raceway. The new ownership group includes Josh Morris, CEO of DQS Solutions & Staffing, and Greg Fowler, CEO of J.F. Electric, both of whom have long supported the team as sponsors.

The team will continue to operate under the Niece Motorsports name. Al Niece, the founder, emphasized the transition, stating, “This partnership is a continuation of the momentum we’ve built over the last several seasons. I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve accomplished… this change allows me to return to the heart of why I got into racing.”

As part of the structural changes, Cody Efaw has been appointed president and CEO, while Amanda Efaw will serve as chief marketing officer. Phil Gould, currently serving as the crew chief for the No. 45 team, has been elevated to director of competition, tasked with overseeing performance and coordination across the team’s operations.

Morris articulated the new direction, stating, “Our investment in Niece Motorsports is about growth… we’re building a racing organization that delivers both on the track and in the boardroom.” Fowler added, “Racing is in our DNA… the foundation is strong, and the possibilities ahead are even stronger.”

Niece Motorsports currently fields four teams in the Craftsman Truck Series, specifically the Nos. 41, 42, 44, and 45, all of which are set to compete on Friday night at Richmond Raceway. Efaw concluded, “This isn’t about changing who we are; it’s about expanding on what we’ve built… we’re doubling down on our strengths.”
