Daniel Suarez Joins Spire Motorsports for 2026 Season

Spire Motorsports has confirmed that Daniel Suarez will take the wheel of the No. 7 Chevrolet starting in the 2026 NASCAR Cup Series season. The announcement was made on Wednesday.

Suarez, 33, recently became a free agent after parting ways with Trackhouse Racing, where he competed for five seasons and secured two victories. His move to Spire Motorsports fills the seat vacated by Justin Haley, who will depart the team at the end of this season.

Freeway Insurance will serve as the primary sponsor for Suarez’s new role, underscoring the team’s commitment to growth and sponsorship stability.

“Spire’s growth over the last few years is quite impressive,” said Suarez. “I’m excited to be part of it and contribute to further development.”

Spire Motorsports co-owner Jeff Dickerson praised Suarez’s journey in the sport, noting his dedication and positive attitude. “We look forward to having another veteran in our organization,” he said, “to help move the No. 7 team up the grid.”

Dan Towriss, CEO of TWG Motorsports and Spire co-owner, added, “Daniel represents exactly the kind of talent that drives our teams forward. He has proven he can win at the highest level and connect with fans.”

Suarez’s impending tenure at Spire marks the fourth team in his career in the NASCAR Cup Series, which began in 2017.
