Jordan Taylor Set for NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Debut at Lime Rock Park
Lime Rock Park, CT – Jordan Taylor is poised to make his NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series debut this weekend, driving the No. 7 Chevrolet for Spire Motorsports in the LiUNA 150, scheduled for Saturday at 1 p.m. ET. This race marks the inaugural Truck Series event at the iconic Connecticut road circuit.
"I’m eager to join Spire Motorsports for the LiUNA 150," Taylor expressed. "I know it’s going to be tough jumping into the series mid-season, but I know I am joining one of the top teams in the Craftsman Truck Series." He aims to adapt quickly to the truck during the compressed weekend schedule and is optimistic about the competitiveness of his Gainbridge-sponsored Silverado.
Taylor, a four-time IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar champion and a 24 Hours of Le Mans class winner, has extensive road racing experience. He is currently a full-time competitor for Wayne Taylor Racing in the IMSA series.
Spire Motorsports co-owner Jeff Dickerson commented on Taylor’s reputation: “Jordan Taylor’s body of work speaks for itself. His accomplishments at the global level are more than impressive, so we’re obviously thrilled to have him drive our No. 7 Gainbridge Chevy Silverado this weekend at Lime Rock Park.”
This race will be Taylor’s fourth start across NASCAR’s national series, following previous Xfinity Series participations in 2023 at Portland and Charlotte’s Roval, along with his Cup Series debut at Circuit of The Americas. The team’s collaboration with Taylor also aims to spotlight connections with Wayne Taylor Racing, enhancing their competitive edge in road racing.
