Mercedes-AMG Unveils Concept AMG GT Track Sport for Track Testing
Mercedes-AMG has initiated track testing for its Concept AMG GT Track Sport, a precursor to its next-generation GT3 vehicle, likely to succeed the AMG GT3 Evo launched in 2020. This latest iteration emphasizes advanced aerodynamics and performance capabilities aimed at maximizing driving dynamics.
While specific details about the car remain limited, insiders suggest it incorporates an optimized weight balance and the brand’s signature V8 powertrain. Mercedes-AMG has described the vehicle’s design focus as being on “maximum driving dynamics, paired with intelligent lightweight construction.”
Michael Schiebe, chairman of the management board at Mercedes-AMG GmbH, commented on the initiative: “With the Concept AMG GT Track Sport, we are once again exploring the limits of what is possible… The future will be extreme.”
The ongoing tests aim to validate the vehicle’s complex systems and components under rigorous conditions, reinforcing Mercedes-AMG’s commitment to high-quality standards in motorsport engineering.
This development positions Mercedes-AMG as a key contender in the racing segment, preparing for heightened competition in GT racing categories in the near future.
