Evans and Schutte Set for 2026 GT World Challenge Australia Title Bid
Jaxon Evans and Elliott Schutte will return for their third consecutive season in the GT World Challenge Australia, aiming to secure their first title. They will drive an ARGT Ferrari 296 GT3, continuing their partnership with the team, previously known as Arise Racing GT.
The duo, who finished third in the Pro-Am class in 2024, secured a significant victory at the Bathurst 12 Hour in 2025, contributing to a stellar season that included four class wins and eight podiums. Despite leading the championship heading into the final race, a post-race penalty at Hampton Downs cost them the title by a narrow four-point margin.
“We’ve been knocking on the door for the last couple of years – third in year one, second last year – so naturally we’d love to go one better,” Evans stated. He praised the team dynamics and expressed confidence in the performance of the Ferrari 296.
The 2026 GT World Challenge Australia season is set to commence at the GT Festival, scheduled for March 27-29 at Phillip Island.
