Korus Group Established to Bridge Karting and Full-Scale Racing
Korus Group, a new motorsport entity, has been officially launched, integrating eight prominent Italian companies to create a comprehensive resource for performance motorsports. Majority-owned by TEC Racing, a venture from The Equity Club, Korus is set to redefine collaboration within the industry.
The organization builds upon a collaborative foundation established between Tatuus Racing, Autotecnica Motori (ATM), and Breda Racing, which began in 2017. Significant expansions occurred in 2024 with the inclusion of YCOM, followed by the 2025 acquisitions of Birel ART, IAME, Kart Republic, and Next Solution Technologies. This strategic integration consolidates decades of expertise across diverse racing disciplines.
With its headquarters in Italy and a workforce exceeding 360 employees, Korus Group boasts capabilities to design, manufacture, and support nearly every aspect of a racing vehicle—from chassis and engines to electronics and data systems. While companies operate independently, they maintain a cohesive cross-functional management structure covering engineering, finance, and communications.
Giovanni Delfino, CEO of Korus, heralded the organization’s formation as a pivotal moment in Italian motorsport. “This marks a new stage of growth and recognition, establishing the only global entity capable of connecting karting with both open- and closed-wheel racing,” he stated.
Roberto Ferraresi, CEO of The Equity Club, noted that the group’s inception stems from a long-term vision initiated with TEC Racing’s majority stake acquisition in May 2023. “Our goal is to capitalize on the expanding motorsport landscape,” he remarked.
Gianfranco De Bellis, newly appointed President of Korus Group, emphasized the collaborative nature of motorsports, asserting that “Korus embodies the essence of motorsport — delivering complete projects driven by deep engineering expertise to support drivers at every development stage.”
Korus Group aims to position Italy at the forefront of international motorsport, aspiring to become a global benchmark for high-performance vehicle development while fostering synergies beyond racing into the automotive and mobility sectors.
