Mahiki Racing Enters British GT3 at Donington Park
Donington Park, October 4-5, 2025 – Mahiki Racing will make its official debut in the British GT’s top class with a McLaren GT3 Evo entry at the season finale. This marks a significant step for the team, which transitioned from GT4 to Ginetta mid-season and is now gearing up for GT3 competition.
Team founder Steven Lake will share the #89 McLaren with 19-year-old Josh Miller, facing stiff competition from established Silver-Am teams such as Beechdean and Bridger Motorsport.
“We’ve always aimed to push boundaries in GT racing, and entering GT3 was part of our long-term strategy,” Lake stated. “Although this debut is slightly ahead of schedule, we’re excited for the challenge. We’ve acquired two McLarens, and plan to run both in 2026, using this year for testing.”
In addition to their GT3 entry, Mahiki Racing will continue its presence in GT4, fielding two Ginetta G56 GT4 Evos. The driver pairing for the #69 car remains Garlick and Angliss, while James Townsend steps in for Ian Duggan in the #88 alongside Joe Wheeler.
This strategic move signals Mahiki’s determination to make a substantial impact in the British GT Championship as they look toward the future.
