Mercedes-AMG Reveals Driver Line-Ups for Rolex 24 At Daytona
Mercedes-AMG has confirmed its driver line-ups for five customer entries in the 64th Rolex 24 At Daytona, featuring both the GTD PRO and GTD classes.
The headlining entry is the #75 Mercedes-AMG GT3 EVO, which marks the Daytona debut of two-time IndyCar champion Will Power. Power will join team owner Kenny Habul, Australian Supercars champion Chaz Mostert, and veteran Mercedes-AMG driver Maro Engel. This is a highly anticipated return for Power, who withdrew from the 2023 event due to personal circumstances involving his wife’s health.
Defending IMSA WeatherTech GTD champions Winward Racing will enter two cars for the first time. The #48 GTD PRO entry will see drivers Scott Noble, Jason Hart, Maxime Martin, and Luca Stolz behind the wheel. This line-up indicates the team’s commitment to remain competitive in the GTD PRO class, despite the increased minimum drive time for Bronze-rated drivers.
Additionally, GetSpeed, in collaboration with Bartone Bros Racing, will field the #69 entry with Anthony Bartone at the helm, alongside Maximilian Götz, Jules Gounon, and Fabian Schiller.
Winward Racing will also continue its pursuit of a championship hat trick with the #57 GTD car, featuring drivers Russell Ward, Philip Ellis, Indy Dontje, and Lucas Auer. This team infamously came back from a seven-lap deficit last year to secure a fourth-place finish in class.
Lone Star Racing will also return to the endurance circuit with their #80 entry, featuring Lin Hodenius, Scott Andrews, and Ralf Aron, with an additional driver to be announced.
Stefan Wendl, Head of Mercedes-AMG Customer Racing, emphasized the stakes: “The Rolex 24 at Daytona is an absolute highlight at the start of the new racing calendar. Our customer racing teams are entering strong line-ups. Our goal is clear: we want to fight for victory again.”
Mercedes-AMG has previously claimed three class wins at the Rolex 24, including two GTD victories from Winward Racing (2021, 2024) and the 2023 GTD PRO win by WeatherTech Racing (Proton Competition).
In addition to the 24-hour event, Mercedes-AMG will also field two full-season entries in the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge GS class, with drivers Bryce Ward and Daan Arrow in the #57, and a continued partnership between Murillo Racing and P1 Motor Club in the #24 entry.
As the countdown to the Rolex 24 At Daytona nears its climax, Mercedes-AMG looks poised to make a significant impact on both the endurance race and the upcoming IMSA championship season.
