Porsche Expands Ownership of Manthey Racing to 67%
Porsche AG has officially increased its stake in Manthey Racing to 67%, reinforcing its long-standing partnership with the renowned GT racing and tuning operation. This strategic move supports Porsche’s ‘Home of Sports Cars’ initiative, aimed at enhancing performance, exclusivity, and heritage across its offerings.
Porsche originally acquired a 51% stake in Manthey in 2013. Since then, the two entities have collaborated on nine performance kits for Porsche vehicles, showcasing their commitment to innovation in customer racing. Manthey Racing competes prominently in the FIA World Endurance Championship, IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup, Nürburgring 24 Hours, DTM, and the Asian Le Mans Series.
In conjunction with this announcement, Manthey Racing will unveil two special models commemorating the 30th anniversary of its DTM debut ahead of the 2026 DTM season finale at Hockenheimring. Currently, Manthey leads the Teams’ Championship, while driver Thomas Preining holds a commanding 23-point lead in the Drivers’ standings.
Porsche CEO Dr. Michael Leiters stated, “Manthey has been a trusted Porsche partner for many years… By increasing our stake, we are moving even closer to the brand’s mission for customer racing and exclusive track experiences.”
Nicolas Raeder, Managing Director of Manthey Racing GmbH, expressed optimism about the enhanced collaboration: “We see the increase in the shareholding as a personal mark of appreciation… We look forward to further deepening our collaboration.”
Martin Raeder, also a Managing Director at Manthey, emphasized the strategic importance of the new shareholding: “By working even more closely, Porsche and Manthey will be able to utilize existing synergies and strengthen the bridge between motorsport and production vehicles.”
This increase in shareholding positions both Porsche and Manthey Racing for a more intimate and effective collaboration in future motorsports endeavors.
