Josh Rowledge Joins Mahiki Racing for 2026 British GT Championship
Mahiki Racing has announced that 20-year-old Josh Rowledge will partner with team owner Steven Lake in the team’s inaugural full GT3 campaign during the 2026 British GT Championship. Rowledge will pilot one of Mahiki’s two McLaren GT3 Evos after a year-long hiatus from the championship.
Rowledge, who achieved four podium finishes driving a McLaren Artura GT4 in 2023, transitioned to GT3 with Blackthorn’s #10 Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT3 Evo in 2024. Reflecting on his career progression, Rowledge stated, “After competing in the British GT Championship in 2023 and expanding my experience in Asia, I feel I’ve built a solid foundation at this level.”
He expressed enthusiasm for joining Mahiki Racing, citing the team’s ambition and professionalism. “I’m focused on maximizing performance in every session, and I can’t wait to see what we can achieve together this season,” he added.
Mahiki Racing is set for a challenging season, fielding both McLaren GT3 Evos and Ginetta G56 GT4 Evos in their respective categories. Team owner Lake praised Rowledge’s growth in the sport, noting, “His pace, professionalism, and approach to racing really stood out. I’m confident he’ll be a great fit within the team.”
He further remarked on his personal connection with Rowledge, recalling their past collaboration in karting. Lake emphasized the team’s commitment to strong performances and professional growth in the upcoming season. “We’re hugely excited about what lies ahead and can’t wait to get the season underway,” he concluded.
With Mahiki Racing striving for competitive excellence, all eyes will be on Rowledge and Lake as they aim to make a significant impact in the 2026 British GT Championship.
