2025 European Le Mans Series Rookie Test Entry List Released
PORTIMÃO, Portugal – The preliminary entry list for the post-season European Le Mans Series (ELMS) and Le Mans Cup Rookie Test has been announced, featuring 37 cars across LMP2, LMP3, and LMGT3 categories, alongside 78 drivers eager to showcase their talents.
Notable participants include Enzo Trulli, the 2021 F4 UAE Champion, who will be testing an LMP2 ORECA-Gibson for Algarve Pro Racing. The 21-year-old Italian, son of former Formula 1 driver Jarno Trulli, seeks valuable experience in LMP racing.
Another standout is Bryson Morris, the 2025 IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge TCR Vice Champion, who will also drive with Algarve Pro Racing in LMP2. Morris, 21, recently achieved TCR class victory at the 2024 24 Hours of Nürburgring.
Current FIA F2 racer Sami Meguetounif, aged 21, will test an ORECA with IDEC Sport. Meanwhile, Chloe Chong, an F1 Academy competitor, will get behind the wheel of the championship-winning #17 CLX Motorsport Ligier-Toyota in the LMP3 category.
The Al Qubaisi family will participate with Team Virage, where Khalid Al Qubaisi, alongside daughters Hamda and Amna, will test a Ligier JS P325, marking a family effort in endurance racing.
In a unique family connection, Jonas Ried, an ELMS race winner, will test his Proton Competition LMP2 ORECA alongside his 18-year-old brother Lenny. They will be joined by Dom Bastien, the oldest Le Mans starter at 79.
Others in the mix include Oscar Kristensen, Tom Kristensen’s nephew and ADAC GT4 Germany race winner, testing for Racing Spirit of Leman, and Andrew Rackstraw, the newly crowned Porsche Carrera Cup GB Champion, also in LMP3.
The entry list includes 18 LMP3 cars, predominantly Ligiers, alongside entries from Duqueine and Ginetta. In the LMGT3 class, notable participants comprise Matias Zagazeta in a Ferrari and Takeshi Kimura in an Aston Martin, with additional testing drivers from Iron Lynx.
Following the Rookie Test, several teams are scheduled to remain in Portugal for extended testing sessions.
