Allgaier Triumphs at Nashville Superspeedway in Xfinity Series
Nashville, TN – Justin Allgaier demonstrated his prowess in the NASCAR Xfinity Series by securing victory in the Tennessee Lottery 250 at Nashville Superspeedway on Saturday. This win marks Allgaier’s third of the 2025 season and his second career victory at this 1.33-mile concrete oval.
Allgaier, a veteran in the field, commanded the race, leading 101 of the 188 laps. He successfully swept both in-race stages, showcasing his competitive edge. His primary contender, 18-year-old rookie Connor Zilisch of JR Motorsports, challenged him fiercely in the closing laps, but Allgaier ultimately crossed the finish line 1.289 seconds ahead.
"These guys here deserve this one more than anything," Allgaier stated post-race, expressing gratitude to his crew for their efforts after a disappointing finish at Charlotte the previous week. "This place is special to me… I really wanted to get a second guitar for my kids."
Zilisch, in his first race at Nashville, finished in second place, gaining stage points and showing considerable skill despite his rookie status. He led for 18 laps before a caution disrupted his momentum. "Clean air is everything; it’s frustrating," Zilisch remarked about falling short on the restart.
Completing the top five were Sam Mayer (third), Sheldon Creed (fourth), and Ross Chastain (fifth). Aric Almirola, Austin Hill, Jesse Love, and rookies Daniel Dye and Carson Kvapil rounded out the top ten.
This victory extends Allgaier’s lead in the championship standings, increasing his advantage over Richard Childress Racing’s Austin Hill to 92 points. The Xfinity Series will take a break before returning on June 14 for the Chilango 150 at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez in Mexico City.
