Lewis Hamilton Prepares for Home Race Amid Speculation
Lewis Hamilton made a striking entrance at Silverstone ahead of the British Grand Prix, showcasing a custom Burberry outfit highlighted by Swarovski crystals shaped like the Union Jack. This marks Hamilton’s debut appearance at the British track under the Ferrari banner, further engaging fans and media alike.
The outfit—comprising a gabardine trench vest and cargo trousers—has drawn attention not only for its design but also for Hamilton’s luxury accessories. Notably, he wore a Richard Mille 43-01 Tourbillon Split-Seconds Chronograph Ferrari, a timepiece valued at $1.535 million, underscoring the intersection of motorsport and high fashion.
In a press briefing, Hamilton acknowledged the challenges ahead, particularly with the competition from McLaren. "On a dry day, McLaren will walk off into the distance… but you never know here what’s going to happen with the wind, with the rain," he stated. He emphasized the role of the local crowd, expressing hope that their support could enhance his performance.
Hamilton’s last victory dates back to the 2024 Belgian Grand Prix, where he inherited the win after teammate George Russell’s disqualification. With no podium finishes this season yet, the seven-time champion aims for a strong showing at his home race. "This would be a really special place to have that [podium], so I’m counting on the amazing support we have here to hopefully make the difference," he concluded.
As anticipation builds for the race, the conditions and crowd engagement will be pivotal for Hamilton’s performance and Ferrari’s overall strategy at Silverstone.
