Lando Norris Reflects on Future in Motorsports
Miami, FL – McLaren driver Lando Norris, currently contending for the 2025 World Championship, shared insights regarding his aspirations beyond Formula 1 during a recent appearance on The Pivot podcast. At just 25, Norris expressed a desire to balance his racing career with personal life, indicating his hope to raise a family.
When asked about his legacy in the sport, Norris stated, "I don’t know if I wanna be remembered in 100 years’ time, or do I just wanna do it for my own personal achievement." He emphasized the importance of enjoying his experiences and sharing them with future generations rather than seeking monumental fame.
Norris’s recent performance at the Miami Grand Prix saw him finishing second, behind teammate Oscar Piastri. Reflecting on the race, he said, "If I don’t go for it, people complain… If I go for it, people complain, so you can’t win." This comment followed a close encounter with Max Verstappen, illustrating the challenges of competing against top drivers.
Despite the disappointment of not securing the win, Norris commended his team for their pace and strategic execution, highlighting, "The team have done an amazing job… It’s never the best feeling but we had good pace."
Norris’s outlook, combining personal fulfillment with competitive spirit, continues to define his approach as he navigates the complexities of F1 racing.
