Children’s of Alabama Indy Grand Prix: Honda Partners with Chip Ganassi Racing
BIRMINGHAM, AL – The upcoming Children’s of Alabama Indy Grand Prix at Barber Motorsports Park will showcase a unique partnership as Honda Racing Corporation (HRC) joins forces with Chip Ganassi Racing (CGR) for a special promotional initiative. The No. 10 Honda, driven by defending champion Alex Palou, will feature HRC branding along with a distinctive red, white, and blue livery.
This collaboration between CGR and HRC marks a significant opportunity for HRC to elevate its visibility beyond traditional motorsports. Palou’s car will sport the same design utilized during HRC’s crossover promotional event last November in Las Vegas, where drivers from various series, including Formula 1 and IMSA, came together.
HRC aims to expand its audience by developing performance parts for Honda owners, akin to initiatives previously undertaken in the production car segment. “We are excited to be the primary partner on the No. 10 CGR Honda at Barber Motorsports Park,” stated HRC President David Salters. He emphasized the fruitful history of collaboration with CGR and acknowledged Palou’s impressive performance in recent years.
CGR and Honda have a long-standing partnership that dates back to 1996, the year when Jimmy Vasser secured the team’s first Drivers’ Championship. Collectively, they have clinched 14 IndyCar titles and four Indianapolis 500 victories, most recently with Marcus Ericsson in 2022.
Chip Ganassi highlighted the success achieved with Honda over the years, stating, “We are looking forward to partnering with them at Barber on the No. 10, and hope Alex and the team will continue their successful start to the year.”
As the race approaches, all eyes will be on Palou and CGR, who look to build on their positive momentum for the 2025 season.
