Report: 250SX and 450SX Developments Leading into Detroit

Detroit, MI – As the 2026 Supercross season progresses, ClubMX Yamaha’s Devin Simonson continues to demonstrate significant growth. After consistently finishing within the top ten in the first three 250SX East Division races, Simonson showcased his potential with an 11th place finish in the East/West Showdown in Birmingham. His strong performance included a brief stint in the top five during his heat race. Simonson looks to further improve and secure a top-five finish in the upcoming Detroit round.

Returning Competitors
Birmingham also marked a comeback for Justin Bogle and Nick Romano. Bogle made his first appearance in the 450SX Class in nearly four years, finishing 18th, while Romano returned to 250SX after a year-long hiatus, also placing 18th. Both riders are focused on regaining their competitive edge at the Detroit event.

Controversy for Evan Ferry
Evan Ferry faced disciplinary action following an incident involving Pierce Brown during a heat race, receiving an aggressive riding penalty. He was fined, lost two license points, and had five championship points deducted, leaving him with a negative two in the standings. Ferry aims to recover in Detroit and re-establish his point tally.

Dylan Ferrandis to Return
In a positive turn for Troy Lee Designs Red Bull Ducati, Dylan Ferrandis is set to return in Detroit after recovering from a thumb injury sustained in Daytona. Prior to his DNF, he had maintained solid results with consistent finishes ranging from 9th to 11th across the first seven races. Ferrandis’s return could reinforce the team’s competitive stature as the season intensifies.

As anticipation builds for the Detroit round, these developments will play a crucial role in the standings and team dynamics as riders look to maximize their performances.
