Supercross Report: Cleveland Triple Crown Highlights
Cleveland, OH – The Monster Energy AMA Supercross series witnessed intense competition at the Cleveland Triple Crown, with Justin Cooper emerging as a notable contender in the 450SX class. Cooper displayed remarkable grit amid a highly competitive field, securing a podium finish with a seventh place in the final race despite a challenging third race that included a near crash.
Cooper dominated race two, solidifying his status as a serious threat to the established top riders. With one less podium finish than last year, he continues to demonstrate significant improvement, positioning himself as a future 450SX winner.
In the 250SX class, Cole Davies from Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing faced adversity yet managed to secure third overall with a performance that included a race win in the third heat. His results of 4-5-1 were pivotal as Davies maintained a 21-point lead over championship rival Seth Hammaker heading into the next round.
Justin Hill of Team Tedder also made headlines, achieving a season-best fifth in Nashville and following up with an impressive eighth overall in Cleveland. Hill was particularly notable in race three, where he charged from 13th to third, showcasing his speed and determination despite ongoing struggles with starts.
The dramatic event in Cleveland not only highlighted individual performances but also set the stage for the penultimate round in Philadelphia this weekend, where championship positions will be further contested. The depth of talent in both classes continues to elevate the excitement of the 2026 season.
