HURRICANE MILLS, Tenn. — The 44th Monster Energy AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship concluded on Saturday, crowning champions across all 13 classes. Notably, the event showcased 36 individual class titleholders and honored outstanding performers, including the recipient of the Nicky Hayden AMA Motocross Horizon Award, Enzo Temmerman, who demonstrated significant potential for success at the professional level.

Highlighting the final day’s competition was Sawyer Gieck of Twisted Development KTM, who aimed to complete an undefeated week. After clinching the AMA National Championship in the 85cc (10-12) class, Gieck raced in the 85cc (10-12) Limited category. He quickly overtook early leader Landon Lee of BS Moto Lab Husqvarna, marking his dominance with the fastest lap of the moto. Gieck maintained a steady lead, finishing 7.3 seconds ahead of Lee.
Gieck’s results for the week included a perfect 1-1-1 performance across his motos, capturing his second AMA National Championship. Lee secured second overall with a score of 9 points from his 3-4-2 finishes, and Eidan Steinbrecher rounded out the podium, also with 9 points but losing the tiebreaker to Lee with a 4-2-3 performance.
