2026 Monster Energy AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship Schedule Announced
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The countdown to the 45th Annual Monster Energy AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship, presented by AMSOIL, has officially begun, as MX Sports reveals the comprehensive schedule for the 2026 Area Qualifiers and Regional Championships.
The championship, a premier event for aspiring motocross racers globally, will take place from August 3-8, 2026, at Loretta Lynn’s Ranch in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee. This year, qualifying events will span over 35 states, featuring more than 50 Area Qualifiers, where riders must secure top finishes as dictated by regional rules.
Event Director Tim Cotter emphasized, “We are grateful to launch the 2026 Area Qualifier and Regional Championship schedule. The Road to Loretta’s includes stops at America’s premier motocross facilities. These AMA organizers are excited to host racers and families along their journey to Loretta’s.”
Following the Area Qualifiers, riders progressing to one of the 13 Regional Championships will represent eight regions in the U.S. Only those finishing in qualifying positions at these regional events will earn the right to participate in the National Championship, scheduled from July 28 to August 2, 2026.
“MX Sports and the AMA have put together an awesome qualifying schedule for the 2026 season,” stated AMA Deputy Director of Racing, Mike Burkeen. “I am really looking forward to attending some of the races being held at some of the best tracks in the country!”
Key locations for the Area Qualifiers include Budds Creek Raceway and High Point Raceway in the Northeast, along with Thunder Valley MX Park in the South Central region. The Regional Championships will commence in late May, featuring prestigious tracks like RedBud MX and Fox Raceway.
This meticulously crafted schedule not only sets the foundation for future champions but also allows amateur racers a unique opportunity to compete on tracks that host the Pro Motocross Championship events. As the prestige of the Loretta Lynn’s Championship continues to grow, attention turns to the upcoming season and the talent it promises to showcase.
