Motorsports Injury Update: Key Losses and Upcoming Races

In the wake of several injuries impacting the Supercross season, notable riders are facing significant challenges as the championship progresses.

Injury Report:

  • Jett Towers sustained a slight AC shoulder separation and a concussion in Indianapolis, which forced him to miss the Birmingham round. He is expected to return for the Detroit event.
  • Dylan Beaumer will not participate for the remainder of the season due to a burst fracture in his L3 vertebra, an injury sustained during the SMX Playoffs last year.
  • Alex Bourdon suffered ligament damage and multiple wrist fractures while practicing just prior to the Glendale race.
  • Chase Chambers is sidelined with a broken wrist incurred during a practice session.
  • Brian Freehill dislocated his wrist in his heat race at Anaheim 2.
  • Levi Hymas is recovering from a dislocated left shoulder suffered in a first-turn pileup at A2 and has recently resumed riding.
  • Jace Jorgensen dislocated and broke his wrist during practice, ruling him out for the entire season.
  • Cameron McAdoo fractured the top of his humerus in Seattle. Although he aimed to compete in Birmingham, he was not sufficiently healed.
  • Michael Mosiman is targeting a return for AMA Pro Motocross after dislocating his elbow and suffering multiple fractures in his hand during practice.

The 250SX West Division will continue with the second 250SX East/West Showdown in St. Louis on April 4, 2023.
