AMA Honors Champions at 2025 AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship
PICKERINGTON, Ohio — The American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) concluded the 2025 AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship, held from July 28 to August 2 at Loretta Lynn’s Ranch in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee, by awarding No. 1 plates to 36 class champions and recognizing exceptional performances with five special awards.
Key Award Highlights:
Enzo Temmerman was named the recipient of the Nicky Hayden AMA Motocross Horizon Award, having dominated the Open Pro Sport and 250 Pro Sport classes by winning five of six motos. "This has been the most rewarding week in my 25 years attending this championship," stated AMA Deputy Director of Racing Mike Burkeen, reflecting on the event’s historic moments and competitive spirit.
Additional Award Winners:
- Deacon Denno claimed the title of 2025 AMA Amateur Racer of the Year with victories in the 250 B and Schoolboy 2 B/C classes.
- Sawyer Gieck, from Alpine, Wyoming, earned the 2025 AMA Youth Racer of the Year award by sweeping all six motos in the 85cc classes.
- Gregory Pamart was recognized as the 2025 AMA Vet/Sr. Racer of the Year after winning all events in the Masters (50+) category.
Noteworthy performances included Yumena Berning, who became the first female racer to podium in an open class, and Raycin Kyler, who made history as the first female class champion in an open class.
