Caden Dudney Makes Strong 250SX Debut in Arlington

Sixteen-year-old rookie Caden Dudney showcased his burgeoning talent during his professional debut at the 250SX East opening round in Arlington, Texas. After qualifying fourth overall, Dudney finished fourth in his heat race but faced significant challenges in the main event. Caught in a multi-rider pileup at the first turn, which included teammates Nate Thrasher and Cole Davies, Dudney demonstrated resilience by charging back to secure a 13th-place finish in his inaugural race.

Despite the setback, Dudney’s performance underscored his potential as a contender in the 2026 250SX East Division title chase. Earlier this season, he clinched victory in the SMX Next main event at the Houston Supercross, solidifying his status as a formidable competitor.

Reflecting on his experience, Dudney expressed optimism: “I’d say that I actually feel really good about it. A lot of people thought I wouldn’t do great… I know I could have done way better, but obviously a first turn crash made it tough to get back up there. Hopefully I get a better start this weekend. I feel comfortable and good and ready to go. It all feels really good.”

As the season progresses, Dudney’s ability to quickly adapt and compete at a high level indicates he remains a serious contender for future events in the series.
