High Point National Highlights: Leitzel’s Journey in Pro Motocross

High Point, PA – As the AMA Pro Motocross Championship continued at the High Point National, Logan Leitzel showcased his resilience amidst a competitive field. After a successful stint in the Monster Energy AMA Supercross season, where he secured a notable ninth-place finish in Foxborough, Leitzel transitioned to Motocross with a determined focus on his goals.

During Friday’s discussions, Leitzel and journalist Mitch Kendra examined his upcoming challenges and experiences, including his unique connection with NFL athletes and a memorable track encounter at the Daytona Vintage Supercross two years ago.

On race day, Leitzel faced the pressures of the 450 Class, finishing fifth in the Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ) before earning a 30th place overall in the second moto. Reflecting on the differences between Supercross and Motocross, he commented, "Qualifying is so much different here: everyone goes so fast at 8 in the morning, I’m still waking up! It’s a totally different world."

As Leitzel continues to adapt to the demands of Pro Motocross, his journey illustrates the steep learning curve faced by riders transitioning between disciplines.
