Chase Sexton Aims for Consistency as Season Progresses

Chase Sexton delivered his second top-five finish in three races since returning from injury, finishing fourth at the Nashville Supercross despite challenging starts. Off the holeshot line, Sexton found himself in 12th for the heat race and 17th for the main event, but showcased his competitive spirit by climbing back to fourth by the checkered flag.

This result highlights his potential; however, Sexton acknowledged that improved starts are critical for securing podium finishes. Currently sixth in the 450SX standings, he has only two podiums this season, including a victory at Anaheim 2 and a second-place finish in Detroit.

Post-race, Sexton stated, “Nashville was a bit of a struggle all day, but we salvaged a good result. I was able to come from pretty far back in the main and work my way up to fourth, which was a positive, but we need to put ourselves in a better position earlier in the race. It begins with better starts and making it easier on myself. I love racing here in Nashville and I’m grateful to be out here, so we’ll keep building and come back stronger next weekend.”

As the Monster Energy AMA Supercross season progresses, all eyes are on Sexton to see if he can secure another win, especially with the AMA Pro Motocross Championship looming just over a month away.
