Davies Clinches 250SX Championship Ahead of AMA Pro Motocross Season

In a significant achievement for the American motorsports scene, Davies secured the 250SX Championship, marking a pivotal moment in his racing career. This victory, a product of meticulous planning and determination, came just two years into his competitive journey in the United States.

“The hard work and sacrifices have paid off,” Davies stated, reflecting on his journey. The strategy was set four to five years ago during a strategic meeting at Ben Townley’s residence, and Davies has meticulously followed that roadmap ever since.

With the 250SX championship now under his belt, Davies is shifting his focus to the upcoming AMA Pro Motocross Championship, which kicks off on May 30. When asked about the anticipated rivalry between himself and his teammate, 250SX West Division Champion Haiden Deegan, at the East/West showdown in Salt Lake City, Davies maintained a pragmatic approach. “I don’t really care,” he asserted, emphasizing his focus on celebrating this accomplishment and preparing for the outdoor season ahead.

With this championship win, Davies joins a prestigious group of riders, including Cooper Webb, Travis Pastrana, Ricky Carmichael, and James Stewart, who have achieved a championship in their second attempt. Notably, his accomplishment places him ahead of several notable riders such as Jeremy McGrath and Jett Lawrence, who took three seasons to clinch their first titles.

As Davies prepares for the next phase of his career, it is clear the groundwork laid in his early years in the U.S. is already shaping a promising future in motocross racing.
