Cole Davies Claims Confidence Ahead of Philadelphia: A Strong Run in 2026 250SX East Season

In a focused and effective 2026 250SX East campaign, Cole Davies continues to impress as he prepares for the upcoming race in Philadelphia. Since his debut at Angel Stadium on January 11, 2025, he has participated in just twenty-one AMA Pro Racing events, alongside eight 250SX Futures races between 2023 and 2024.

Reflecting on his journey, Davies stated, “It’s taken a lot of constant hard work to get where I am… I’m just going to take it like every other weekend I’ve been into.” This approach has led him to significant consistency on the track, a vital component of his success this season.

Davies acknowledges a shift in mindset since the start of the season. Initially, he struggled with eagerness, but his current strategy emphasizes calmness and incremental progress. “Going race by race and not forcing anything has been a better approach for me,” he explained.

Despite challenges, including the unfortunate injury of competitor Jo Shimoda, Davies has faced robust competition, noting, “The competition has been good… It’s been a battle.” Responding to inquiries regarding the competitiveness of the field, he commended the strong starts of his rivals.

A standout element of Davies’ season has been his exceptional speed through the whoops, a skill praised by legends Ricky Carmichael and Ryan Villopoto. “There is no better feeling than having a perfect run through the whoops… It’s a lot of commitment and confidence,” he stated, underscoring the importance of technique and a well-tuned bike.

With previous victories at Anaheim 2 and Salt Lake City further augmenting his confidence, Davies is enthusiastic about the remainder of the season and remains focused on achieving continued success on the U.S. circuit.
