Cole Davies Makes Promising Return to Riding After Injury
PHILADELPHIA – Cole Davies, the 17-year-old rookie sensation of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross 250SX West Division, has marked a significant milestone in his recovery by returning to riding. After securing four podium finishes, including two victories, Davies concluded the Supercross season in second place overall. However, his promising campaign was marred by injuries sustained during the final rounds.
At the Denver SX event, Davies was involved in an on-track incident with teammate Haiden Deegan, which knocked him off the podium. Subsequently, during qualifying for the season finale, he was inadvertently landed on by competitor Jordon Smith. The resulting injuries—a broken arm and broken nose—have sidelined him indefinitely from the opening rounds of the AMA Pro Motocross Championship.
While recovering in the hospital, Davies’s mechanic, Lachlan Mills, accepted the 2025 250SX Rookie of the Year Award on his behalf.
Today, Yamaha BluCru shared a photo of Davies back on the bike, signaling his commitment to return. Davies expressed his excitement on Instagram, stating, “Man, I’ve missed this. It’s been a tough few months since Salt Lake… Today’s the day I’ve been waiting for. I’m back on the bike and all in!”
Currently positioned 14th in the 250SMX SuperMotocross World Championship qualifying standings, Davies remains in a transfer position for the motos. As the AMA Pro Motocross Championship resumes following the Monster Energy AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship at Loretta Lynn’s Ranch in August, his return to competitive racing is highly anticipated by fans and the team alike.
