Nashville Supercross: Simonson Secures First Podium for ClubMX in 2026

In an impressive turnaround following a wrist injury that sidelined him for the 2025 season, Simonson achieved a significant milestone by claiming the first podium finish for the ClubMX team in the 2026 Supercross series.

After a challenging start to his season, Simonson highlighted the need for consistency and the rapid pace of competition. “At the start of the year, I found myself in third during the opening laps at Arlington, and honestly, I got freight-trained. I’ve never been in that position before,” he stated, emphasizing the mistakes he made and the lessons learned during intense races.

Teammate Coty Schock played a crucial role in supporting Simonson’s development both on and off the track. “I wouldn’t say there’s a rivalry; it’s a cool dynamic. Coty is one of my best friends off the track. We trained together through the offseason and traveled the world competing in the World Supercross Series,” Simonson explained. He acknowledged the camaraderie that enhances their performance, even amidst racing incidents.

Reflecting on his journey, Simonson expressed disbelief at his success this season, particularly as a former fill-in rider. “It’s truly insane. Coming into the season, I was considered the fourth guy, and I thought, how cool would it be to be the one to get the first podium for the team this year?” he shared.

Despite potential skepticism regarding his placement, Simonson affirmed the importance of being competitive: “You’ve got to be in it to win it sometimes, and I was there.” His podium finish not only signifies personal achievement but also marks a significant step forward for the ClubMX team in the ongoing season.
