Drew Adams Reflects at AMA Championship After Successful Amateur Career
Tennessee native Drew Adams, recently crowned the 2024 Nicky Hayden AMA Motocross Horizon Award recipient, returned to the Monster Energy AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship not as a competitor but as a spectator. Having clinched titles in both the 250 and Open Pro Sport classes in his final amateur season, Adams now embarks on his professional career with the Monster Energy/Pro Circuit Kawasaki team.
During the break in the AMA Pro Motocross Championship, Adams utilized his time to prepare for the upcoming SuperMotocross Championship (SMX) playoffs. He also took the opportunity to revisit the Ranch, which he described as “the dirt bike event of all dirt bike events.”
Amidst enjoying leisure activities, including floating in the creek for the first time in seven years, Adams expressed his appreciation for the nostalgic experience. “I had a great time, finally got to float down the river today for the first time in like seven years,” he stated.
As Adams prepares for his transition to professional racing, the lessons learned and memories made during his amateur career remain pivotal for his future endeavors in motocross.
