Eli Tomac to Sit Out Philadelphia SX Round Following Cleveland Crash
Eli Tomac, the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing standout, will miss the 15th round of the 2026 AMA Supercross Championship in Philadelphia after a qualifying crash at Cleveland sidelined him from competition last weekend. Although evaluations confirmed no broken bones, Tomac continues to feel the impact of the incident and is focusing on recovery.
Entering this round, Tomac is tied with Hunter Lawrence and Ken Roczen for the most wins this season, each with four. Currently positioned fourth in the championship standings, he trails the leader by 31 points.
Team Manager Ian Harrison expressed relief regarding Tomac’s condition: “We are grateful that Eli’s injuries aren’t more severe… Our riders’ health is always the priority, and we look forward to having Eli back with us at the races once he is fit and ready.”
This season has been impressive for Tomac, who has secured victories at Anaheim 1, San Diego, Seattle, and Daytona, along with eight podium finishes in the 450SX class.
In a recent Instagram update, Tomac noted, “Taking it day by day, not broken, bruised and beat up muscles need to chill out and I’ll be back soon.”
Tomac’s return will depend on his recovery progress, as he aims to compete in the final rounds of the series aboard the KTM 450 SX-F FACTORY EDITION.
