Haiden Deegan Extends Contract with Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing for Multi-Year Deal
Marietta, Ga. – Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing has officially announced a multi-year contract extension with rising star Haiden Deegan. This agreement will see Deegan transition from the highly successful YZ250F platform to the YZ450F, marking the beginning of his rookie season in the 450 class.
Since joining the team’s amateur program in late 2021, Deegan has rapidly established himself as a formidable competitor, achieving numerous national titles and earning Rookie of the Year honors in both Supercross and Motocross during his debut season. The 19-year-old has secured back-to-back 250SMX titles in 2023 and 2024, as well as the 2024 Pro Motocross 250MX Championship and the 2025 250SX West Championship with one round remaining.
Deegan’s performance has been impressive, with seven 250SX wins, 12 overall 250MX victories, and three 250SMX wins, culminating in a 45-point lead in the 250MX Championship and a 103-point lead in the 250SMX Combined Points as the outdoor season approaches its finale.
Looking ahead, Deegan will aim to defend his titles in the remaining rounds of the outdoor season and will kick off the 2026 campaign by pursuing a Monster Energy AMA Supercross 250SX title before moving to the 450 class for Motocross and the SMX World Championship Finals.
“Yamaha Racing is excited to announce that Haiden Deegan has signed a multi-year contract to continue with the Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing team,” said a Yamaha representative. “Since joining the team, Haiden has earned significant achievements, and we look forward to continuing that success as he graduates to the 450 team.”
Deegan expressed enthusiasm for his future: “I am pumped to re-sign with Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing. The plan will be to race the 250 in Supercross, and then make the move to the 450 class for Motocross and SMX. I’m grateful for the opportunity and more fired up than ever. Let’s keep grinding.”
As Deegan prepares for this pivotal transition, the motorsports community will be closely monitoring his performance as he aims to extend his championship legacy.
