Isak Gifting Extends Contract with Yamaha and JK Yamaha Supported MX Team Through 2026
Yamaha Motor Europe has confirmed that Isak Gifting, the 24-year-old Swedish motocross talent, will continue with the JK Yamaha Supported MX team through the 2026 season. Gifting will once again pilot the Yamaha YZ450F as he competes in the FIM Motocross World Championship.
Since transitioning to the MXGP class in 2024, Gifting has demonstrated significant potential, achieving a notable fifth place finish at the 2025 MXGP of Czech Republic. His affiliation with the JK Yamaha team has been marked by growth, characterized by enhanced speed and confidence despite facing injuries.
Looking ahead to 2026, Gifting aims to capitalize on the experience garnered during this season. His objectives include breaking into the top ten of the MXGP Championship standings and securing additional top-five finishes.
Isak Gifting, JK Yamaha Supported MX Team Rider, stated, “It’s nice for me to continue my progress with Yamaha. I have a few personal goals, but I’m looking to be top 10 overall in the MXGP Championship Standings and have some more results in the top five, if not better.”
