Josh Toth Shows Versatility in Southwick National While Dominating GNCC

Southwick, MA – Josh Toth, a seasoned competitor in the Progressive Grand National Cross Country (GNCC) series and 2017 XC2 Champion, showcased his adaptability by competing at the AMA Pro Motocross Championship at The Wick 338. Riding for the Rocky Mountain/Red Bear Kawasaki team, Toth finished 22nd and 21st in the two motos, earning 24th overall.

Toth’s transition to motocross from GNCC isn’t unprecedented; other riders, such as Josh Strang and Kailub Russell, have successfully made the same leap. Notably, Toth’s performance at Southwick came after he achieved a historic milestone in the GNCC series in 2024, becoming the first rider to win an overall from the second row on a 250F. This year, he solidified his prowess by securing an overall win at the Snowshoe GNCC in West Virginia, defeating his boss, Stu Baylor, in the process.

At Southwick, Toth utilized a KX450 practice bike with motocross suspension. He narrowly qualified for the motos after a competitor was penalized for a red cross flag violation. Toth’s final moto results of 25th and 26th placed him 25th overall, while fellow GNCC competitor Mike Witkowski finished 31st and 23rd for 28th overall, also making the cut for the motos.

Toth’s recent performances underline his versatility and competitiveness across multiple racing disciplines, further establishing him as a noteworthy athlete in the motorsports arena.
