In the lead-up to the SMX Championship, a prominent rider reflected on his successful season, characterized by consistent podium finishes. "It’s been a great season for me," he stated, highlighting the intense competition: "The strong field makes for battles week in and week out for any position within scoring points."

Last weekend’s event demonstrated this competition vividly. The rider engaged in a fierce contest with Dylan Ferrandis, culminating in a strategic last-lap pass for sixth place. He recounted, “I caught up to him and Jorge [Prado] in the first moto. He managed to make a pass on Jorge and pulled away. I fought hard to catch him, but it took a solid 10 to 15 minutes before I could make my move." Ultimately, he succeeded with a last-minute maneuver, asserting his competitiveness: “It felt like we were battling for a win out there.”

The rider also acknowledged the challenges of maintaining pace throughout each race: “Sometimes the positions and how you ride don’t match up. This class is tough, and the pace is high.” He expressed confidence in preparing for upcoming races, emphasizing, “I can find that flow and definitely get up front and stay there.”

With multiple podiums at this venue, he aims to carry this momentum into the SMX Championship, reinforcing his status as a strong contender in the series. The focus now shifts to solidifying performance across all tracks as the season progresses.
