Chase Sexton to Miss Birmingham Supercross Due to Injury
Chase Sexton, rider for Monster Energy Kawasaki, will not compete at this weekend’s Birmingham Supercross, marking his third consecutive race missed due to injuries sustained in a pre-Daytona crash. The 23-year-old is currently dealing with ongoing pain in his lower back and hip.
Sexton returned to riding earlier this week, offering a positive indication for his recovery. The team remains hopeful he will be ready to return for the Detroit Supercross next weekend.
Throughout the first nine rounds of the season, Sexton has recorded one podium finish—a victory at Anaheim 2. His results in seven main event appearances include finishes of 8th, 4th, 1st, 5th, 7th, 5th, and 6th.
Kawasaki confirmed Sexton’s status via social media, emphasizing his dedication to recovery while working to regain full fitness.
As the season progresses, Sexton’s absence will be felt as he searches for consistency after a promising start.
